Headteacher's Welcome
At Higher Walton CE Primary School, our children sit at the heart of all we do. As a small school, we know our children and our families well and endeavour to create ‘Life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10) for everyone that comes here. We want our school family to live out our values of ‘friendship and forgiveness, courage and creativity, respect and responsibility, trust and tenacity’, becoming ambitious, compassionate and empowered individuals ready to take on the challenges that life in modern Britain brings. We have very close links with All Saint’s Church, Higher Walton and our local community to ensure that we provide a broad, yet community-based education with a global and Christian-caring outlook. All of our children deserve the best opportunities and as a school we are able to provide these as part of our inclusive curriculum offer, underpinning the Christian values and vision that we hold at Higher Walton.
It is a privilege to come to school every day. I am fortunate to be able to lead a dedicated staff team who have the children’s best interests at heart. Our children are amazing, our families are very supportive and our Governing body work tirelessly to make sure our school is the very best that it can be.
Every day is open day at Higher Walton. Please come and visit so that we can show you our fantastic school in action.
Mrs. Vicki Clarke

Curriculum
As a school, we provide a safe and nurturing environment based on our school vision, “Life in all its fullness” (John 10 v 10). We are committed to meeting the needs of all our pupils through a broad, vibrant, rich curriculum which provides opportunities for all to achieve and excel in different ways. We foster the curiosity, creativity, innovation, perseverance and resilience that children need to be independent, literate learners who ask questions, seek answers and are prepared for life in modern Britain.

Breakfast and After School Club
To support our families, we offer wrap-around care from 7.30am until 6pm with breakfast club and after school club run on site on school days.
Breakfast Club runs from 7.30am until school starts, supervised by Mrs Devlin and Mrs Blackburn. Children arriving before 8.30am are given breakfast, and then enjoy different activities for a relaxing start to the day.
After School Club runs from the end of the school day until 5.30 or 6pm (at parents choice), supervised by Miss Marsden, Mrs Devlin and Mrs Galagher. They enjoy a wide range of activities inside and outside, with baking, games, football and crafts being very popular. A teatime snack is provided.
